About Our Boats
Our rental stock includes boats that are suitable for patrons of varying skill and experience levels. We have boats that are almost impossible to tip and that require little or no experience (pedal boats and rowboats), boats that require a few basic skills that we can teach you on the spot (kayaks), and boats where experience is strongly recommended (canoes). Check the boat descriptions to the left for more detailed information about each boat.

Rental Rates
Rates are per boat (not per person) and includes lifejackets and paddles.

1-Person Kayak: $12 / hour
2-Person Kayak: $17 / hour
2-Person Rowboat: $17 / hour
2-3-Person Pedal Boat: $17 / hour **3rd person in boat must be under 10 years of age.
2-3-Person Canoe: $17 / hour **3rd person in boat must be under 10 years of age.
4-Person Canoe: $28 / hour
4-Person Pedal Boat: $28 / hour

We accept cash, company cheques, Visa, Mastercard, Amex and Debit.

Movie Industry
We are pleased to provide equipment for the movie industry. Our boats have been in a dozen different films and movies and we are very flexible and accommodating to your schedule.

Rental Rates for Boats: (These prices are only for off site use and for the movie industry. A cheque covering the cost of our equipment will be necessary as deposit.)

Birthday Parties

If you are looking for a natural spot to celebrate your child’s birthday party, then Deer Lake is ideal. We can offer your group 1.5 hours of boating. Included in this time will be a mandatory safety talk and all boating and safety equipment. Each person can then choose which boat they would like. For the novice boaters, the pedal boat is the ideal choice. For the intermediate paddler, the rowboat is a good choice and for the more seasoned paddlers, canoes and kayaks.

We can provide a canopy and picnic tables for your group. Most of the summer is sunny and warm, but this is Vancouver still. So in case of liquid sunshine, rainwear will be provided free of charge so that your group can still go out and enjoy boating.

We will help your group with lifejackets, help them into the boats and provide basic instruction. You only need to provide the food and people. A BBQ is allowed in the park as long as you provide your own BBQ. We also have connections with local caterers and restaurants in case you want us to handle the food requirements.

For an additional charge, we can provide your group with a leader who will organize games for your group. Prebooking is required and can be completed by downloading this document and e-mailing it to damien@deerlakeboatrentals.com.

Season Passes give you a one-hour rental each day of our season. Please note that we may close early due to inclement weather. Please see our rental hours for our season schedule. Season Passes may be pro-rated if bought mid-season. Call us at (604) 839-3949 for more information.


Upgrades:

Pass A Holders can upgrade their boat rental for a day to get a Pass B boat for an additional $5 or a Pass C boat for an additional $15.

Pass B Holders can upgrade their boat rental for a day to get a Pass C boat for an additional $10.


Downgrades:

Pass C Holders can downgrade their boat rental to get a Pass B or two Pass A boats at no charge.

Pass B Holders can downgrade their boat rental to get a single kayak at no charge.


In addition, you get:

• 10% discount on off-site rentals
• 10% discount for friends or family on any regular priced boat rental

Season passes are for the use of the passholders only and the passholders must be present at the time of rental. Only one person can be deemed the passholder for each season pass issued - a couple cannot buy a pass and each use the same pass at different times.

Prepay your Rental and Save Money with the Frequent Paddler Card!

A Frequent Paddler Card (FPC) is a prepaid card that allows you to get 5 boat rentals at a reduced price. An FPC has the benefits of:

• Helping you to maintain good health by being more active
• Encouraging you to spend more time with friends and family by getting them out for a boat ride
• Most importantly, saving you money!

With the FPC our staff will be able to get you onto the water faster and you won’t have to worry about carrying cash with you for your daily, weekly or monthly boating trips. You will also receive complimentary drinks and ice cream with your card.

Canoe/Kayak Lessons

These 3 hour lessons introduce canoeing and kayaking in a safe and natural setting with an experienced instructor.

Canoeing and kayaking lessons are available anytime you wish if you get 2 or more people. If you are an individual who would like lessons, we can match you with other individuals looking for lessons. Cost is $39.82 + taxes and includes all equipment and instructor. Maximum number of registrants is 8.

Canoe Lessons: You will learn:

• preparing for your canoe trip
• balancing in a canoe

1.5 HOURS OF FUN - ONLY $7.00 PER PERSON

We are pleased to offer a special discounted rate for groups. Our group rate is only $7.00 per person. This rate is for 1.5 hours and includes lifejackets, paddles, and a boating safety/instruction lesson from our staff. The group rate is for groups of 10 or more people. This offer is available Saturdays, Sundays and Holidays before noon and anytime (all day) Monday to Friday (excluding holidays).

Past experience has shown that most groups like to plan early, therefore we strongly advise that you reserve your group as soon as possible to avoid disappointment, and so that we can make the necessary arrangements to ensure that your group will have a very pleasant and enjoyable visit.
